AIRWERKS is small on purpose

Founded by Ed Guttes in 2005, AIRWERKS has intentionally remained small, with just three employees. The reason:  to maintain an exceptional level of quality control and a high level of personal customer service.

Ed Guttes, owner

After earning a mechanical engineering degree from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from SMU,  Ed worked as an engineer for 20 years in the semiconductor business. In 2005, Ed decided to leave the office setting and launch AIRWERKS, the Lake Travis-area cooling, heating, and indoor air-quality company.

Ed and his family have been residents of the Lake Travis area for more than two decades.  He and his wife, Tracey, have been married since 1988;  have a son, William (who works in Investment Banking for Lazard), and a daughter, Sage (who works in Construction Management for JE Dunn).

For Ed Wesley McClain

Wes is a native Texan.   He is married with 3 children and 5 dogs.  Wes spent 8 years in the U.S. Army.   After leaving active duty, he earned his HVAC and NATE Certifications.   When not working,  Wes enjoys spending time with his family.   He is also very active in camping and fishing; and spends time at the coast whenever he can.
